Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology
Zoology 4223/5223, Section 001, 3credit hours

Meetings: Monday and Wednesday, 3:00-4:15 pm, Stephenson Research and Technology Center Boardroom

This course will provide an introduction to cellular and molecular neurobiology through reading and discussion of current research papers in a handful of fields. This year, we will focus on the study of insulin signaling and the role of insulin in protecting neurons from degeneration. There will be a strong emphasis on research in the model genetic organism, the fruitfly, Drosophila melanogaster.

Fall:
